The copy paper opacity shows how much light can pass through it. Copy paper are classified as low-opacity, medium-opacity and high-opacity. Light passes easily through low-opacity paper, meaning you can see through to the other side. Whereas, you can not see through to the other side of higher opacity paper. Premium paper has higher opacity, making it the best option for two-sided printing. 100% is called complete opacity.

Paper Thickness

Weight refers to thickness. premium quality paper is thicker than other types of paper. So, the thicker the paper, the better the quality. The classic weight of office paper is from 70g/㎡ to 120g/㎡. Heavier paper brings higher color saturation for better quality images.
⦁ Copy paper from 70g/㎡ to 75 g/㎡are designed for daily use.
⦁ Multifunctional paper from 80g/㎡ to 90 g/㎡are used for business letterheads, stationery and two-sided printing. 80g/㎡ remains the most commonly used.
⦁ Between 100g/㎡ and 120 g/㎡are thicker paper designed for brochures as well as professional presentations.
